Upload the Pinterest File to Your CPanel

  1. First, you need to have two browser windows open.
  2. In one browser window, go to https://www.pinterest.com and log-in.
  3. Click the little icon in the upper right-hand corner (your profile pic) and select Settings > Profile.
  4. Enter the full address of your website in the website box.
  5. Click the Confirm website button.
  6. This is the box you should see:

  7. Highlight the all of the <meta…./> code.  Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard to copy this code.
  8. Click the Download this file link and save the Pinterest to your computer.  DO NOT click the buttons yet.
  9. In a second browser window, log in to your hosting CPanel and navigate to the directory where your website is contained.
  10. Upload the Pinterest file.
  11. Log out of your CPanel.  Close the browser window.
  12. Go back to the window with the above Confirm your website box.  Click the Finish button.
  13. Hit the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the screen.  You should see the following next to your website address:

  14. That’s it!  Keep in mind this process could take longer than a few minutes.  You may need to log out of Pinterest, close the browser window and re-login to Pinterest to see the change.

Verify Your Website with Yoast SEO

  1. First, you need to have two browser windows open.
  2. In one browser window, go to https://www.pinterest.com and log-in.
  3. Click the little icon in the upper right-hand corner (your profile pic) and select Settings > Profile.
  4. Enter the full address of your website in the website box.
  5. Click the Confirm website button.
  6. This is the box you should see:

  8. In another window, log in to your WordPress Admin area > SEO > Social.
  9. Click the Pinterest tab.
  10. Paste the <meta…/> code into the Pinterest confirmation box.
  11. Click the Save Changes button.
  12. Go to the Accounts tab and enter your Pinterest URL in the Pinterest box.
  13. Click Save Changes.
  14. Go back to the window with the above Confirm your website box.  Click the Finish button.
  15. Hit the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the screen.  You should see the following next to your website address:

  1. First, you need to have two browser windows open.
  2. In one browser window, go to https://www.pinterest.com and log-in.

  4. Enter the full address of your website in the website box.
  5. Click the Confirm website button.
  6. This is the box you should see:

  8. In another window, log in to your WordPress Admin area > Settings > Head and Foot Scripts Inserter.
  9. In the top section – paste the Pinterest code into the next available line.
  10. Scroll down and click the Save Changes button.
  11. Go back to the window with the above Confirm your website box.  Click the Finish button.
  12. Hit the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the screen.  You should see the following next to your website address:
